Amnesia: The Dark Descent has quickly become very famous online among lovers of all things horror, because unlike some games, this one is actually scary. It isn’t in any way an action game – you won’t have to face off against anyone or anything, and even if you wanted to, you don’t have any weapons to do it with. What you will have to do is explore a super creepy abandoned castle and try to stay alive long enough to figure out why you can’t remember anything.
In Amnesia: The Dark Descent, you play a character named David, who wakes up in an abandoned castle with no memory of how he got there. The castle is overrun with ghosts, monsters and other creepy things, which you’ll have to hide from if you want to make it to the end of the game. Be sneaky, find safe places to hide, and never turn your back to them. As you advance through the game, you will discover the reason you have amnesia.
In this demo version of Amnesia: The Dark Descent, you’ll see that the game environment is dead on. The player will feel almost claustrophobic from all the darkness. The only downside is that the progression is kind of slow and repetitive.
